Текст трека 2Pac - Wake Up The Masses (Asko Remix)
Turn the television off for a minute.
Put the newspaper down.
Tell me what you see when nobody tells you what to see.
They got a thousand voices trying to speak inside your head, but how many of them ever tell you the truth?
Yeah.
This one's for the thinkers,
for the questioners,
for everybody
who refuses to sleep with their eyes open.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah. Oh. I woke up in a world where the headlines write the history.
Where a lie becomes the truth if it's repeated with consistency.
Everybody got a screen, everybody got a theory, but nobody checks the facts when information sounds appealing.
They can sell you any story with a face and a microphone.
Turn a complicated issue into something black and white.
A lone label on a stranger, make a villain out of fear.
Then convince a million people that the enemy is standing near.
I watched a whole community start arguing for days over words that came from people who had never seen their
face. One side throwing accusations, other side defending blind.
By the ones who started conflict, watch the numbers multiply.
That's a clever operation, keep the people divided.
When they're busy fighting neighbors, they forget who supplied it.
Give them somebody to blame, give them something to despise.
Keep them staring at the smoke while the real decisions hide.
I ain't claiming I know everything, I'm saying we should question every promise from a podium, every carefully
paved confession. Every headline needs a source, every claim deserves a test.
You can listen to an argument, start following the rest.
As I was taught to trust my eyes, but even eyes can be deceived.
So I search for more than one account before I choose what to believe.
Knowledge isn't something handed to you wrapped in a bow.
It's the work of asking questions when they easy answer's no.
If they tell you what to think, that's the moment you should start.
Keep your curiosity alive, and keep your mind apart from the crowd that moves together just because the leader
shouted. Real intelligence begins when you examine what you're doubted.
Wake up the masses, let the truth come alive.
Too many sleeping through the questions, too afraid to ask why.
Open your eyes, let your mind break free.
The greatest revolution starts with what you choose to believe.
No more blind decisions, no more borrowed views.
You can hear a hundred voices, still decide what is true.
Raise your voice, let the whole world see.
A mind that thinks for itself
will never live on its knees.
They put a price on education, make the pride of skill a shame.
Tell a kid his only future is a number and a name.
Meanwhile, knowledge is the currency that never loses value.
But a thinking population makes it harder to manipulate you.
So they turn the classroom into another competition where the student learns the answers but forget to ask the
question. Memorize the dates and figures, pass the test, and move along.
Never stop to ask the teacher why the lesson might be wrong.
I remember being younger, looking up at every grownup thinking every person older had the wisdom to show us.
Then I learned that ancient knowledge don't always share a home.
Some people spend a life time never questioning what they're told.
Some repeat their parents' anger, some inherit ancient hate.
Never meet the people they condemn, never challenge what they state.
And the cycle keeps repeating from one generation to the next.
Children learning how to judge before they learn to understand context.
Imagine if we taught them how to disagree with honor.
How to listen to a stranger without turning to a monster.
How to change an old opinion when the evidence appears.
How to recognize manipulation dressed in confidence and fear.
That's a lesson worth more than another polished presentation.
More than chasing perfect scores for somebody else's validation.
I don't want a world of followers who memorize my lines.
I want people who can challenge every sentence that I rhyme.
If my message can't survive a question, let it fall apart.
Truth ain't scared of examination, that's different from a con.
Let the young ones read the books that powerful people never mention.
Let them learn the art of logic, let them sharpen their attention.
You can't force a mind awake by shouting through the night.
You provide the friction, let it find the courage to see right.
Wake up the masses, let the truth come alive.
Too many sleeping through the questions, too afraid to ask why.
Open your eyes, let your mind break free.
The greatest revolution starts with what you choose to believe.
No more blind decisions. No more borrowed views.
You can hear a hundred voices, still decide what is true.
Raise your voice, let the whole world see, a mind that thinks for itself.
Will never live on its knees.
Look at how they sell attention.
Every second has a price.
Yeah.
